Warning Signs when considering a new tenant:

• Asks you to skip all or a part of the tenant screening process

• Offers to provide you with a copy of their credit report

• Moves often

• Changes jobs frequently

• Long gaps in employment

• Missing information on the rental application

There may be legitimate reasons for someone who moves frequently or who has several gaps in employment, but these red flags are always worth investigating further. Credit, criminal and eviction reports go a long way in helping you find the best possible tenant.
